Does this Arsenal player need to leave?

It’s not been a very good year for Arsenal fans as they have failed to live up to expectations and even missed out on Champions League football last season. On top of this arguably their two best players in Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez want to leave the club for their Manchester rivals.

It now seems that one player who has fallen out of favour at Arsenal needs to make the move away from The Emirates in order to reignite his career.

Of course we are referring to FIFA 13 pace merchant Theo Walcott. The England international burst onto the scene as a sixteen year old when he managed to get into the England squad for the 2006 World Cup in Germany which came as a surprise to everyone. Walcott was hyped up to be a world class player who would eventually end up at a club like Barcelona or Real Madrid.

However Injuries and lack of playing time have ravaged Walcott’s career and now he finds himself at 28 years of age which is probably worse for everyone else because it doesn’t seem that long ago when he was just 16.

With a real lack of playing time mixed in with the fact that we are in a World Cup season we definitely feel that Walcott needs to secure a move away from Arsenal to reignite his career both domestically and internationally.

Where should he go?

We have had a big debate on this topic and for me he just simply isn’t good enough to warrant a move to one of the top five teams in England and especially if he wants to play week in week out.

For me I think the perfect club for him in January is Everton. Walcott’s pace is something that Everton lack and it could persuade Koeman to deploy wingers as he looks for the solution to his problems. A move to Everton could be in both parties interests and they may be able to pick him up for under twenty million pounds.
